Provisions on Local Taxes
We inform you that the Law Decree n. 93 of 27 May 2008 (hereinafter the “Decree”), published in the Official Gazette no. 124 of May 28, 2008, concerning "Urgent provisions to safeguard the purchasing power of families" introduced, among other things, significant changes in the area of Local Taxes, and in particular in the matter of the Municipal Property Tax.
The Decree abolishes the ICI on the real estate unit used as a main residence as early as 2008, reaching the completion of a process, which began with Law Decree no. 223/06 and continued by the two Financial Laws of 2007 and 2008, towards a simplification of the declaratory requirements and an increase in deductions to the benefit of families.
